WHY PEARLS ACADEMY DAY SCHOOL….

PEARLS ACADEMY began its journey with Sixty students and Five Facilitators in the year 2009 to touch the strength of nearly 1000 students at the turn of the decade. The objective was not to add yet one more school to a long list of Institutions in the City. Instead, the idea was to create an extraordinary platform for learning where world-class education is blended with the core values and practices of Islam. The school aims for 21st-century modern education with an Islamic approach to prepare our community children for the 23rd century.

Therefrom, the Institution grew organically, adding one grade every year. We now have 14 grades (from Play Group to Grade-X) and approximately 1000 students as of June 2020.

In our pursuit to bring the world’s best educational program to our kids, we began implementing the CBSE Curriculum.

We believe that CBSE is one of the best programs that prepare the next generation to face the ever-changing National and Global Arena with Eemaan, courage and fortitude; nurturing them into principled and caring individuals who in turn will help shape a productive, peaceful and prosperous society.

The ZMEWCT and its Pearls campus currently span over 10 acres of land, located within half an hour’s drive from Aurangabad Airport. The state-of-the-art campus has a full-fledged Admin Block, Academic Block, Physics, Chemistry and Biology lab, Infirmary, Indoor Auditorium, Canteen and Dining Hall. There are multiple playing fields, a Horse riding facility, a Skating rink, a swimming pool and a beautiful garden with fountains.

The Institution also boasts of State-of-Art, cutting-edge and rapidly expanding labs for IT, Maths and all the sciences, Well designed and perfectly equipped for students to learn more about these areas, explore and conduct safe and innovative experiments.

In contemporary times, learning Art, Science and Technology is as important as learning reading and writing. The times are witnessing monumental advances in the technological world surrounding us and it is affecting almost every aspect of our lives – including education.

Developing an environment of entrepreneurship amongst the students is at the core of Pearls Mission. Experiential Learning and Research forms the core of this idea. Author and inventor Chris Anderson noted ‘the next wave of manufacturing and entrepreneurship will be borne of the talents and shared ideas developed by Makers’, in his book “Makers: A New Industrial Revolution”. Being a creator is a mindset that can be cultivated in a culture that supports learning through Making.

Learning through creating carries with it the power to revolutionize knowledge gaining by empowering students in the role of creators instead of being mute consumers. For impacting the learning of the student, Creating and Tinkering cannot be restricted to just the Research, Creator-zone, the Laboratory or Afterschool Projects. To truly transform Learner’s education, we need to not only provide a creator-zone but also cultivate a culture of creativity, Innovative & Inventive bent of mind and extraordinary problem-solving abilities.

As the IoT or Internet of Things Extrapolates human horizons to redesign and re-conceptualize our environments; learning and thinking as a Creator turns all the more relevant and important. We expose our students to low and high technology creation which is not limited to circuitry, coding, computational thinking, prototyping, Design thinking etc. Futuristic Institutions must develop a Culture of Creating.

For facilitating these we boast of:

  1. Curriculum Planning and Analysis: Being a continuum school, Pearls uses EDAC & IMAX suites, which provide us with a state-of-art curriculum planning and Assessment platform to make our curriculum planning and implementation effective.
  2. High-Speed Internet: In today’s contemporary time’s Internet is a global phenomenon integrated into our lives. Pearls campus having a strong wireless backbone is a Wi-Fi Campus.
  3. Computer lab and Laptops: A high-quality Computer Research lab powered by state-of-art, robust and efficient Machines. It ensures that our Learners and Facilitators do not waste their time troubleshooting. Chromebook being part of the Google ecosystem helps the EPS community access world-class tools to enable effective teaching and learning.
  4. High-Resolution Projectors: The Institution boasts of high-resolution DLP projectors capable of projecting High-Density content in Day time.
  5. Google Suite: Pearls is a “Google School” with unabridged access to Global Learner productivity and collaborative tools like google classroom, google docs, google sheets, jam board, etc.
  6. Creator Zones: With the Innovation Hub in the offing, the Institution has allocated a dedicated area at the campus where the requirements for experimenting with live batteries, Zero-boards, Arduino boards (An open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software), motors, sensors, cutters, Soldering Irons, other gadgets, glue guns etc. are accessible to the Learners and the Facilitators.
  7. Qualified Facilitators: Coaches are appointed to train the children in all the extra-curricular activities. Talented Students in different areas are involved in various competitions.

WHY HIFZ ….

Abu al-Qasim reported: Abu Umamah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Recite the Quran and do not be deceived by depending on the written copies. Verily, Allah will never punish a heart that has memorized the Quran.”

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The Holy Qur’an is the most widely read book in the history of mankind. It is also a great source of inspiration, guidance and wisdom for millions of Muslims all over the world. It is the essential point of Imaan (faith), and important to the foundations of an Islamic society.

The Quran is the Holy Book of Islam in which Allah (SWT) has revealed all His teachings to the Muslims. It is every Muslim’s duty to read the Quran with correct Tajweed (intonation), understand its meaning, and apply it in everyday life. Memorizing whole or at least parts of the Quran is very important for Muslims; it is also a requirement for Salah (prayer).

FEATURES

    • Memorize the entire Holy Qur’an, Insha’allah in 3-5 years (Grade-V to Grade-VII)
    • Learn various techniques on how to memorize the Qur’an
    • Improve overall recitation whilst memorizing the Qur’an
    • Learn more about the spiritual benefits of memorizing the Qur’an and how to benefit others
    • Revise the rules of Tajweed alongside memorization
    • The target to complete memorization is 3 years, although students may take longer or shorter, this varies from student to student and should be used simply as a rough estimate.
    • Daur: One year of Daur (5 Daur’s) is planned after completing the Hifz. (Grade VIII)
    • Academics: Minimum Learning Level as defined by the CBSE.

Students will be expected to memorize the Quran with an emphasis on reciting with Tajweed (intonation), fluency, and accuracy. Each student proceeds with memorization according to speed and ability.

The Hifz Program is divided into three stages:

Stage 1: Qayidah Program (QP)

The Qayidah program starts as early as Grade-I, wherein the Parent has to fill up a form for joining the Hifz Academy. The QP runs for Two years in Grade-I & Grade-II and the child is groomed in such a way that He/She attains the minimum Learning Level as prescribed by the CBSE while learning the Qwaid of Tajweed. At the end of the two years, the student has to appear in a Graduating Assessment which qualifies him for the Nazera Program in Grade-III & Grade-IV.

Stage 2 : Nazerah Program (NP)

The Nazerah program starts as and when the child submits his Assessment Report and is Eligible for the NP after Grade-II. The NP runs for Two years in Grade-III & Grade-IV. Here the child is groomed in such a way that He/She attains the minimum Learning Level as prescribed by the CBSE for his/her relevant Grades while learning the Nazerah of the Quran. At the end of the two years, the Student has to appear in the next Graduating Assessment which qualifies him for the Hifz Program in Grade-V, Grade-VI & Grade-VII.

Stage 3 : Hifz Program (HP)

The Hifz program starts as and when the child submits his Nazerah Program Assessment Report and is eligible for the HP after Grade-IV. The HP runs for Three years in Grade-V, Grade-VI & Grade-VII. Here also the child is groomed in such a way that He/She attains the minimum Learning Level as prescribed by the CBSE for his/her relevant Grades while Memorising Quran. At the end of the three years, the student has to appear in the next Graduating Assessment which qualifies him for the Daur Program in Grade-VIII.
The process here includes the Sabaq, Sabaq Paara and the Aamukhta on a daily basis. The Children do not have the regular Summer and other Vacations but are allowed to go home on the occasions of two Eid’s. Joining the OYSTER Residential Facility is a compulsion in Stage 3. After the Daur Program, the child goes back to his regular studies from Grade-IX onwards.

Foundation Program is a starting point (building block) for aspirants of Competitive Exams right from Grade VI. Sometimes also called as “Launching Program”, the Foundation Program helps aspirants become mentally and strategically strong when they start studying the basic concepts and topics, ideally from Grade VI onwards.

It is quite necessary that a student aspiring for Competitive Exams should join the Foundation Batch. It not only enhances the thinking ability but also exposes the student to a competitive environment.

It is seen that many students who crack Competitive Exams start their preparation right from Grade VI. So, Pearls Academy has designed this Foundation Program for the students of Grade VI who are willing to opt for the science stream and aim at cracking various prestigious exams like NEET & IIT. This course adds an Edge as the student has Five extra years of foundation and guidance before taking to the science stream whereas all other competitors just start their preparation.

This course is designed for developing the required skill, concepts and study methods. The way science and math are taught in elementary and secondary schools in India is mostly based on the memorisation of facts and formulas. It is better if children have learning opportunities within and outside the classroom and after school hours that give him or her better insights into the subject.

BUNIAD is to:

    • Inculcate 21st Century Skills and Aptitude so as to produce Future Leaders.
    • Provide a good option for integrated learning in an Islamic ambience and a competitive outlook.
    • Provide learning opportunities in a stress-free environment, thus giving a new dimension to Special Coaching for competitive exams.
    • Develop verbal, logical, scientific and vocational skills along with artistic, cultural & social interests.
    • Lay Foundation for Students aiming at Competitive Exams.
    • Provide a competitive edge to the students.
    • Help students set Smart Goals.
    • Provide opportunities to students to make informed choices through Career counselling.
    • Develop HOTS through the STEAM approach.
    • Develop confidence among students and parents in school programs till senior secondary.

Subject Matter Experts for Senior Secondary and their involvement in training Students of Grade VI-X is the Core Idea. Developing Curriculum and Assessments is the Norm. The whole programme is executed using SME’s, Sharpening of Competitive Skills and career awareness amongst students, parents and public
